Wetting the bed at night (nocturnal enuresis) is very common in young children. In fact, it is normal up to the age of five years.
Hypospadias is an abnormality of the penis which has 3 features. The urethral opening is not in the correct place - it is usually further back from the tip of the penis usually on the underside, there is often bending or curvature of the penis (chordee), which is more noticeable during erection and the foreskin is usually (but not always) missing on the underside, giving a hooded or incomplete appearance. The foreskin can sometimes be intact.
A hydrocele is a very common condition affecting boys, where a fluid-filled sac develops inside the scrotum around the testis, making it look swollen. It is not painful and feels like a balloon filled with water.
Paediatric Urinary tract infections (UTI) are common. UTIs are caused by a growth of bacteria in the bladder and sometimes in the kidneys. An infection may be mild or make the child moderately ill or very sick.
